As a rule, tomatoes do not set well and often drop buds, especially on the first two racemes, due to poor pollination. Try every day, preferably in the morning, to lightly shake the brushes with flowers. If you have planted a few plants, then you can pollinate them by barely touching the flowers with a soft brush or just cotton wool.
Additive to fertilizer.
On the sea coast, gardeners can use seaweed as a partial replacement for organic fertilizer. Storms wash them ashore in large quantities. Algae contains a lot of nutrients that plants need, especially potassium. Discarded algae decomposes quickly. They are applied directly to the soil wet or composted with garden waste and used after partial decomposition. Recommended dose: 5-7 kg of wet seaweed per 1 square meter.
* All tomatoe kind and hybrids are divided in to 2 large groups.
Indeterminants and determinants. Indeterminant hybrids are higher. Determinant hybrids are smaller. But which seeds are better? Which ones to buy?
It depends on that, where, when and in what conditions are you going to cultivate them. On protected ground better to grow indeterminant kinds. Because then the growing process will last longer.
